Default HEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!! Quad Adrenaline problems

OK guys, so I got my Air Dog installed this week, and my ECM re-flashed with some updates. While the truck was there I also has the cam position sensor replaced. Well the mechanic took the truck out for a test drive afterwards and immediately brought it back cuz he smelled something. It was my Adrenaline box, and he said it was too hot to even touch so he unplugged it. The truck still ran but would only give me MAYBE a quarter throttle. So i plugged it back up to see if it would get hot again but it didn't. Problem is, that now it seems to be letting the truck build lots more boost, but there's no black smoke which makes me think this things not fueling right. The only thing other than the box bein cooked that I can think of is that the mechanic said on the VP there was a yellow wire with an eyelet on the end of it that wasn't hooked to anything. Anybody got any idea what that could be? MANY MANY thanks in advance for any help yall can offer me guys.

What tunes were you running when this happened. I know some of the earlier tunes were causing a problem with the quad box getting hot and frying. You should probably contact quadzilla . They are great people to deal with. I have had great customer support from them

Well I had it set to 00 because I thought the lift pump was going out. So i put in on the lowest level and limped it the couple miles to the shop. So that's what the mechanic left it on, thus bein the level it was on when it got hot.

Dude...pull the quad box off before you fry the electronics on the VP! This has happened before with the boxes overheatin and frying the eltronics on the pump! You need to run the tunes dated 10/21 if you don't have it updated to that...the old tunes don't have the new software for the reheating issue! Where did you purchase your box and did you send your warranty card into quad....they sent out a mass e-mail to everybody stating not to run the old tunes that were dated before 10/21/08!

Contact quad and let them know!

As for the yellow wire it it the wire for the fuel pressure sender......unless you have the sender you do not need it hooked up! The have also started sending out the new transducer kits for the fuel pressure senders that you can purchase now!!!

Thanks guys. I took the box off, LOL, I heard stuff rattleing around in there. I guess it got so hot that some solders or something broke loose in there. But I talked to Quad on the phone and they're gonna send me a new one with all the updated software on it.

I got an email the other day and it stated that if you weren't running the latest updates you SOL on the warranty. The new tunes take care of the surging and box's over heating.
Good luck!

It's good to see Quad is taking care of you. They treated me well when my first box wnt to hell. And the ADR blows the Comp out of the water!
