Default Old Smoky power pin

Is the old smokey power pin the best bet? Heard that the bully dog pin was made of too soft a metal and the denny t may cause internal pump problems. Just got my gov spring in just thinking about the next part I need. After the fuel pin I am going to get a set of gauges. Pyro boost and fuel pressure who has the best gauges for the least amount. Well got more beer to drink and a little more work to do. Thanks

I've heard the same thing... I'm also on the fence about this topic too... I don't have any experience with either product.

But my buddy is wanting to turn up the juice with a good pin and do the spring...

I am going to go with the old smokey fuel pin. Just got the 3200 rpm spring in. Now I am looking at injectors. I am going with a set of 370 injectors, then going to send them off and have them extrude honed. Then a turbo and larger intercooler. That should get me right where I want to be.

Traditional "370s" are p pump sticks. If you're gonna buy some "370s" built for the ve from somewhere like New Era, then they are edm'ed which is a better process than extrude honing. You can send your stockers out to be edm'ed for less $$.

I have a DennyT Stage II and LOVE it... any problems I've heard of have always been... "well the brother of a friend of a friend's Neighbor had his truck blow up from his fuel pin" never heard of anyone first hand having an issue. Seeing as how the truck can bee run with no fuel pin (don't do it it wont run well) i dont see how denny's pin can hurt. Best $100 I've spent yet.

I got the Denny T stage II pin when price is an issue you can't beat the Denny T. Got intouch with Denny and he was very nice and he said he sells them on ebay they are 125 there if you contact him you can get them for 105. So if you need a fuel pin get in touch with Denny he will hook you up. I had to track him down on Dodge Diesel - Diesel Truck Resource - Cummins - Home user name DennyT. Don't know if Denny is a bomber or not. I kinda felt like a trader going to that site. Sorry guys.

I thought that the DennyT was a straight-up $100, shipping included? Must've gone up from inflation...

Seems to me like the DennyT's the shiznit. I'd get one of them if I was in the market.

Denny said he was selling them for 100 but had to up the price a little to cover shipping insurance cause a few of the pins he shipped never made it. The reason they are 125 on ebay is do to the ebay fees. But 125 shipped still isn't bad. I also asked Denny if he was a bomber. He said with the baby he is redoing his house there is not enuff time to join all these different sites. But he has the pins on ebay pretty often and if you have to have one are don't want to register on another site not a bad deal. When I get the pin and the driveshaft in I will let you guys know what I think. I have no doubt it will be a huge improvement I am running a factory pin rotated about 120 degrees.
