Personal Fuel Economy with EZ
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this or not, but I have an Edge EZ on my truck. I had been running it on setting 1 (25 hp) and we get around 16.5 mpg in town. A month ago I turned it up to setting 2 (45 hp) and after several tanks we averaged around the 17.2mpg mark. That got me thinking, so the last few weeks I have had it on setting 3 (65 hp) and we have been getting a consistant 18.2 mpg in town. This really surprises me since the setting 1 is suppose to be the fuel economy setting. What I have noticed though is the transmission shifts a little sooner maybe which keeps the rpm's down. Anybody else notice this with their Edge EZ?
My EZ only had one level.
Don't know about this choosing of levels stuff. Since you have a 3rd gen I don't know how much yours is different but on the 24v EZ the difference between the 1st and 3rd levels is only 5 horse. The difference is mainly the aggresiveness. I put it on level 3 and forgot about it. and I could also pull 18-19 MPG. Though not in town. Too many wannabe's.
