I just bumped my timing and now its time for the 4k springs but before I can put them in I am pretty sure I will need 60 springs what do you think? and how hard is it to install the valve springs ? and what tools do I need?

technically the 4K gov springs don't require 60 pound valve springs to install the 4k gov kit.
the 60 pound springs are required if you plan on turning your motor more than 3200 rpm's....
i have the 4KGSK in my truck i have stock springs. i only turn it 3000-3200rpm. the only reason i put in the 4K kit was so the truck wouldn't de-fuel before i hit 3200.

well I want to push 6000 rpm but dont think the motor will hold together for all that but I will be going over 3500 rpms I was just wondering if there were any cheats to installing the valve springs I have never done them before.I had them done on my last truck and I want to learn to do them myself for future refrence and to save money

if you want to know how to change out the exhaust and intake valve springs call me at (208) 651-2377 and ill walk you threw it i just did mine 2 weeks ago and dont fallow the installation directions from pacbrake what they say is TDC (top dead center)is actually BDC (bottum dead center) they actually were easyer to do then everyone told me. no pulling the head, no air in the injectors and no string threw the injector hole needed
yeah your gonna need more than springs your gonna need a complete balanced engine the works to do that.

thats what i was thinking to. my opinion on that is if it is a daily drive i wouldnt go over 4k hell i wouldnt even go over 3k. i put all that in my truck and i dont go much over 2500 on an aveage day, now racing on the other hand i get to about 3k and thats it
