ok guys i found out my truck didnt have hd 60lb exhaust springs put in like the previouse owner said, i just got my exhaust brake in the mail and need to put some springs in. the local diesel mechanic shop that does cummins can only do it by removing the head. i have one everything else performance on this truck from rear ends to gov springs how hard is exhaust srpings

 

Not too hard with the right tools. 06 Diesel just bought a spring compressor for $150 and it works great. No need to remove the head to do the springs. Find another diesel shop.

 

24 valves use the bolt hole that fastens the rocker arm so you can do all 4 valves in one shot. 12 valves, I'm not too sure if you can do em with the head bolted on.

 

well called doge today and they want $300 to install them not including springs i dont know of anyone else who owuld do it i would like to give it a try if someone could walk me threw it or show some pictures, im only doing exhast valves and not intake valves. woul djust a normail valve spring compressor do it? any mor info would be gladly appreciated.

 

they are only 60 pounds........gasser springs are triple that or more......

 

so that must mean that a normal valve spring compressor would do the trick can i get anymore how to tips

ya he is who i bought my injectors, fuel plate and gov spring kit from he awnsered his phone at 1 in the morning when i was having problems with my clutch
