I was wondering what you guys think i should look for in an 04 3500 cr.i owned an 02 duramax but sold it so im not new to diesels just to dodges.the truck is an 04 3500 cr single wheel with a 6 speed it has 100,000 miles on it and an old guy used it to tow a camper so its all stock and the dealer would only give him 12000 trade in so i offered him 14000. what should i look at?

 

Lift pump, ball joints ujoints....... regular stuff......... good trucks

 

ball joints / u joints / carrier bearing if its a long bed.

 

it would be better if its an 04.5 vs 04

 

depends on what he is looking for if he wants mileage then he would be better off with a early 04

 

I'm happy with mine. I bought it used with 91,000 miles. Replaced the Lift pump at 139,000 miles. Also replaced the water pump.
