Default Exhaust Manifold Port Temps

I thought I read somewhere that if you get one of the laser temp readers and check the temp coming out of each exhaust and one is different that the others there might be an injector issue??? Will it tell me anything getting the temps if each port? I'm gonna borrow a laser from work Wednesday and see what each is... Thoughts?

Isn't the most accurate test, but it helps troubleshoot which injector may be going.

yeah thats a decent way to tell if ya got a missin cylinder, some old timer told me to start it up and just touch the manifold of course he said you had to do this quick or you will burn yourself.

let the motor cool over night then start it up and point the temp gun right at the exhaust manifold where it bolts up to each port......................rotate around doing this 4-5 times and the injector that aint workin wont make no temp

I did this on a Ford 6.0 and was dead on , he took it to the dealer and they said the same thing .....he had 2 dead ones

Very common way for checking. you shouldnt see over a 40 Deg Variance, Just make sure you hold the Pyro at about the same distance!
