Question Lift Pump Quitin, Any Economical Home Builds

well its that time again, lift pump is dying, and was wondering if anybody out there has replaced the factory P.O.S. w/ a home brewed electric replacement, possibly a holly or similar, and if so can you just bypass the manual lift pump and plumb it thru the fuel heater, so as not to loose the benifits there, short on cash so any help would be helpful, and tired of replaceing the manual pump every 80 to 90 K,

i would go with the Airdog what do they run like 350-400 bucks for just the pump minus the filters, making a home kit might be kinda difficult to find something that will pump diesel especially when its colder but seeing how you live in texas that might not be an issue.
