Fuel Pressure
Gauge problem I think. I have the Dipricol Optix electric fuel pressure gauge thats doing funny things, when I first installed it it was reading about 17.5 psi now today when I started the truck it was reading about the same I drove it about 15 miles and I look up and its sitting at 30psi well I know thats not right so I shut the truck off and then back on and it still shows 30psi at idle it goes down to about 24.5 to 25 at 70mph.
I am thinking its the sending unit.
Could it be my Airdog? or could it be the gauge itself?
Any body got any other suggestions?

Yeah I didnt really think it was the Airdog, just trying to cover all my bases before I start buying things.

Well I took out the sending unit and put a mechanical gauge on it and I am getting 17.5psi.
So is it the sending unit or the gauge?

Electric guages are notorious for grounding problems. Make sure youve got some bare metal, as well, use a different grounding point than your other guages. Always try the simple/cheap things first before buying the expensive parts.
Nope no isolator and the grounds good the two other gauges are grounded to the same spot and they work just fine. So I need a sending unit for the Dipricol Optix electrical fuel pressure gauge. Wow that didnt even last 6 months, Wonder if it has a warranty.

it should have a warranty but remember the sending unis ground themselves when you screw them in... so is the gauge grounded good? and i would call and check on the warranty...im saying it has one, i have had a oil pressure sending unit on my truck for a year, and it still works fine....
Pressure spikes on the CR's are not a problem like the VP's. However, I did use about 6" 's of rubber hose between my electric sensor and the port to isolate it from vibration. The sending units do not like vibration at all.
Well I got this problem fixed, and thanks to Jim at Upstate Diesel Performance for getting this taken care of under warranty.

It was the sending unit, popped a new one in and it was back to normal 17.5 psi
