Default Towing Injector With Light Performance Mods Question

Hey all. I'm in the market for some good towing injectors; have narrowed the choices to either RV275s, F1 Mach 1s or DDP 1s. My main goal is to be able to pull 12k lbs. without having to worry about EGTs and the trans (VB will be insalled to increase line pressure), keep the HX35, and get better milage and more power throughout the entire RPM range . Current mods are below and I will install my 4" exhaust soon. With the boost elbow and my HX35 and one of the above injectors what kind of increase in EGTs can I expect over stock? Have any of you experienced a difference in performance and EGTs between the 3 injectors above? When we do tow, we tow the 12k lb. trailer up long grades - that's why I don't want to worry about EGTs

All opinions welcome.

Thanks in advance, Mike.

On long grades without slowing down your EGT's will climb high (1200+) with the HX35. If you slow down (ease off the skinny pedal) you won't have any problems.

However, go to a different turbo or modify the existing one with a larger housing and you will be much better off.

Larger exhaust housing in your case I would think but I'm no turbo expert. This would if I have it correct cool the gasses down after the fact but maybe the solution for you is to increase the compressor side and get more air?

Speak to one of the sponsors here or just give BD Dave an email.

Cheers.

I would start with an upgraded compressor side. With light fuel mods a 14 exhaust housing will make it a lag pig on the bottom. With a bigger compressor you get nearly the same spool up as factory. And you can always add the bigger exhaust housing later when you get the big fuel mods.

DDP 1's and an HTT stage 3.5 will be a great towing setup for what you are looking for and you should be able to climb what ever you want with out letting off it, now since you have an auto a 12cm exhaust housing would be a good choice over the 9cm you have now, the 9cm will be a bit restrictive but will still work. If you need prices let me know i can help you out. DD

I've got 275s and an Edge Attitude at the moment (pump tap disconnected),EGT has never gotten high enough to make me want to back out of it,1200 or so Pre-turbo,All the power I need.
12k in the Canadian rocky mountains, with my HX35.(you say to have a HX,but your truck came with the HY,right?)
A bigger turbo would be cool though
