Default What does the p1690 actually stand for?

Just wondering I've always heard dead vp in the same sentence as p1690 is this true? I got 167k on a 2001 4" pipe k&n filter valair clutch and superchips is it on er and the vp and lift pump both changed out at 142k almost 3 years ago the tach doesn't quit but the truck will run a few seconds cut out and die sometimes I can get it to take off and it will just do a dead pedal I guess my question is should I be worried about the vp er should I start elsewhere like crank sensor or something not sure thanks though

P1690 - Fuel Injection Pump CKP Sensor Does Not Agree With ECM CKP Sensor

The supposed VP death code is P0216.

Gotcha I googled p1690 and everything that came up was injection pump gone but I picked up a new sensor today hope it works had a buddy tell me the valve on top of the fuel tank went bad and it made his truck through p1690 so he ran without a fuel cap
