How About Those 370 Injectors
I have 12v cummins with 5 fuel plate and auto trans im getting ready to do some upgrades i just wanted to know if anybody has run the 370 bosch injectors and what they liked about them and what they didnt like about them
i run them..... they haze at idle perty bad but advancing the timing from stock should eliminate most of that. in combination with 191 delivery valves it gets hot even with a 64/14 charger blowing 52psi.... (was running 40psi but i couldn't control EGT's AT ALL up top) now it rarely sees 1400-1450* pre-turbo...... and again in combination with the 191's it's hard to clear the haze at WOT....... i'm gonna do some swapping around and put the stock DV's back in and see how they act......
definately not a set of sticks i'd want to run on a stock HX.......

Well first off fill out your sig so we know exactly what your working with. I'll tell you right now that if you don't have gauges yet, GET THEM. Without knowing what temps your running you'll melt that sucker down in no time with 370's. Besides that, if your just running a 5 plate, your transmission should be ok for a while depending on how you drive, but with the 370's your gonna grenade that thing in a month or two tops. You need to upgrade your converter and your valve body before you go hopping up your fuel anymore... If you replace the valve body (or at least modify it) and put in a Billet converter from somebody decent you'll be able to keep things like shafts, clutches, and steels. If you don't replace them now, and you wait until the trans blows everything will have to be replaced.
Performance wise, 370's are great, your idle will suffer, and some guys say they stumble a little bit, but they make a lot of power. For something a little more reasonable check out the RV275's, Marine 330's, or even a set of 215's will get you well over 400HP with supporting mods.
