My 2002 3500 dually with 24 valve and automatic transmission seems to not lock into over drive. When I am cruising between 45 and 50 mph barely on throttle it will pop in and out of over drive. If I get up to about 55 to 60 it stays locked in... it also hesitate to shift if I am on the throttle hard any ideas?

 

Clean your grounds on your batteries. Also I know this May sound dumb but there is a ground wire by the alternator if cleaning your grounds doesn't fix the problem put tinfoil over that wire to use as an insulator and see if that fixes it. They are known as a "dirty" ground issue.

 

replace the speed sensor. 25$ part. my truck did the same thing and thats all it was.

 

Hi i really need some help. My 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins wont shift past second gear. I got a new speed sensor for it. I go to take the old one out and a ton of tranny fluid come out at me. I thought this was not supposed to happen? Also the tranny fluid smells terribly burnt def need to change the fluid any way. Just hopefully dont need to change the whole tranny. Any help heres muchly appreciated. Thanks so so much
