preventing rust from wheel areas
I live in Ohio and they throw salt down like they are repaving the road with it in the winter. I would like to keep my truck as rust free as possible but here the trucks will always rust in the rear wheel bed area first. Is there anything I can do to prolong/prevent this other then washing it?

dump oil in every spot possible like dump in the bed pockets let run down the inside makes huge mess for while but it does the trick my 03 hasn't started over rear is push 130,000 miles and it lives in NH and on a farm only thing starting are the rockers on it not bad considering where it lives but does live indoors.
