1993 dodge cummins mods needed for 400 hp
hey i have a 1993 dodge 12v cummins with i think its a s@b cold air or something like that with a 4 inch down pipe into a stack and it looks to be the stock turbo with a waste gated exhaust side and i have the pump turned up a far amount.... my question here is what do i need to do to make it to 350-400 hp what all mods do i need to do ?
I made 301 with 5x14 DDP injectors, a fuel pin, intake, exhaust, and 60mm compressor upgrade. With water/meth and skipping a tooth on timing, I think 350-400 would have been no issue. Trans was a 727 with a low stall Goerend converter.
ok thanks alot that seems pretty easy to under stand... what turbo would you say works better over all the stock 1 gen turbo witch mine is waste gated for some reason or the 2 gen 12v turbos ... i have a 2 gen one sitting around ?
the stock turbo and the hx35 are going to be quite hot at 400hp. if you do not plan swapping turbos for a 62mm at least consider the 300-350HP range and some 5x.012.
63mm turbo and 5x.014 will get you a lot of air. We build injectors and turbos and can assist you.
