So the other day I went to change my smarty for level two to level 9. I have my comp box turned off while tuning FYI. It got to 100% complete and then aborted. Now I can't even get the smarty to connect to my truck, read dtc's, etc. I finally got a code of p1694 no bus messages received from ECM by doing the key trick. I talked to smarty and downloaded the recovery tune and when I connect to the truck it says error 14 program aborted. Does anyone know of any fixes or had similar issues? I don't think it's the ECM I think it's a matter of getting the smarty off and getting it back to stock. The wait to start won't come on or flash and the fuel system relay clicks in and out with the key on. The truck won't start!

 

check your OBDII and make sure pins or wires didn't get unhooked, and check the grounds for the ECM to be sure that you don't have loose wires.

 

I checked all that. I ended up taking it to a local shop and they told me it was my ECM. And that the smarty had a bad cable. I should be back on the road tonight or tomorrow
