I have read many things about lock and stitch but it Is not proven to hold any other ideas without putting a new motor in

 

If you or you know some one that is good at brazing it could be done but it is not for the novise and you would need to tear the engine down to a bare block even then there is no promise it will work forever if it was me I would do lock and stitch or brazing I think both if done right are good methods
