hi everyone i have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 sport i want to make it into a dually ......yes it might be cheaper to buy one but i got this truck for free and is in great running condition but i want a dually ....just if someone could guide me in the right direction i would really appreciate it .....like up front what needs to be changed or added ....and in the back is the differential all that needs to be changed.......what im doing is only for looks it wont be towing or moving anyones furniture l.o.l....i want 22 or 24s alcoas im putting the megacab bed or the flares only witch ever way i could achive that look....and lowering it as much as possible thanks for the help up front ......

 

Entire rear axle has to be swapped out, I believe you might need a new drive shaft as well. You'll need to make sure that the gear ratios match in both axles so you don't blow either one or your transmission up.
