Is anyone else running 0w40 synthetic oil year around in their 6.7L Cummins?

 

I run a 5w40 Rotella T synthetic in my rig all year round. 0 problems

 

depends, year round if its below zero all the time. If not hell to the no... If you are above say 20 degrees most use 15-40 if not then 0-40 I use 15-40 all year round and it gets to the -30 down here. But I have a oil pan heater to help whe I first start the truck because the oil is a thick as molases..

 

I wouldn't run less then 1540 any day in my truck

 

follow manufactures specs... always best.

 

I have run this in all my diesels 01, 08, 12, and now 08 again, year round. Never know what it could be zero degrees up here! Could happen in July!!

 

+3 on the Rotella Syn. No problems so far!
