Friend of mine cannot get engine to run at idle after hpop exchange. From what I can gather, there is air in high pressure rail. I plan to use starter spray, run at high idle for 30 minutes, and try this a couple times to get it to stay running at idle. Am I on the right track, or any other suggestions?

 

DO NOT USE EITHER< It takes alot of cranking to get it started the first time but once it starts just hold it at 1500 for a couple minutes then take it for a ride and get on it some to help purge the air out of it

 

I will not use either. But why?

 

these trucks have glow plugs and you can pop a head clean off with either, or you can pop the intake and turbo.

 

Thanks bigman for taking the time. I talked to the owner but he is too nervous and wants to take truck to shop. Gotta no confidence vote. Oh well.
