4.11's to 3.54's
I would trade also, my truck isn't a daily driver. When I do drive it, it usually has a trailer hooked to it. My suggestion is to ask the people where your getting the gear sets from. Some manufacturers will make the ring gear thicker so to be able to use whatever your carrier is. I have had to use a spacer ring for a 10 bolt gm rear I was setting up. Went from 2.73 to 3.73.

Ok so you got a set of used gears from another truck. To bad you just can't swap carriers over as well. Then problem would be solved. I used to know the limitations of gear differences on what carriers but for the life of me can not remember them. I have an idea though, give richmond gear a shout. Ask questions like your gunna buy a set of gears. They'll will tell you if you need a ring gear spacer or not. I'm thinking you don't need a spacer though. But it always good to be safe.
Everything needs to be swapped over carrier and all. Also need to throw in new thrust washers, set up backlash ect. My buddy and I swapped over axles cause it was much easier. Took us a few hours but werent really in a hurry.

i would do it in heart beat
