6 speed problems.

6 speed problems.
2005 Dodge 3500 6spd manual, 91,000 miles, all stock with the exception of an airdog system, trans rebuilt just 6,000 miles ago. Stuck in 5th gear all of a sudden, no warning noises or vibrations. Thoughts?

Not sure. I'm stuck at campground just outside yellow stone. 1600 miles from the tools required to pull it

Just got back from the Mechanic's shop, the inside of the trans is destroyed, a couple gears broke, sycnros gone. He recommends a new trans since its been rebuilt once. Anyone know if a NV5600 will bolt up in place of the G56?

Yes a NV will bolt up inplace of a G56. They had both the NV and G56 in the 2005s. The issue might be your ECM. It might have to be reflashed for the NV but I am not sure.
