Default Injector pump...

My injector pump went bad, cost wise what is the best place to get one? Should I have it rebuilt at the local diesel shop? Do you know of any good places to get one at a decent cost? What would you suggest my best route would be?

I just had a new one put on and it cost $2,500 plus labor. The way my truck now performs is just absolutely mind blowing, and judging by that, I probably didn't get a typical VE Pump. Anyways, best thing to do is spend the money on a new one and labor. It's gonna suck some funds, but it'll be worth it.

I am getting plenty of fuel to the pump, but fuel is barely trickling out! Is there another problem that you know of that would cause this? It doesn't start.

Are you 100% sure you shut-off solenoid is working correctly?

The Fuel shut-off solenoid is on the back of the IP. First off see if your getting 12 volt to it with the key-on Should have to wires going to it just above the injector lines.

When mine went, I was pullin a heavy load of horses. It started cuttin out and losin acceleration and eventually the truck shut off and wouldn't start. I'm guessin I put a lot of stress on mine. Not sure what the exact reason was though. Did this happen to you too?
