Default Considering Banks or Afe

For intake tube and air filter. Should I lean one way or the other?

I have the Afe stage 2 with the dry filter. Been very happy with it. Makes the turbo whistle much louder (not quite as loud as a 6.0 but pretty close). If all you can hear is the turbo sucking air, put the silencer ring back in.

dangerous1965 knows his stuff but I'm going to have to disagree, I would go with s&b intake.. banks is pretty expensive.

What are your plans for the truck?

My vote goes for an oil less reusable drop in filter. Take the baffles out of the stock tube and drop in your filter, done. Intakes are eye candy, if you want to "pretty" up the engine bay just pick one that's "prettiest" There are guys running modyfied stock setups making a whole lot of power.

I pulled the baffles, put a k&n in and ran a drilled stock box until I was given my intake... I wasn't going to upgrade it until I got my compound turbo's but free is free.. and I'm a cheap *** who only likes to spend money once.

They are inside the stock pipe to the turbo. Actually direct air to the turbo. If you have the money do it right the first time!
