So i recently blew a vp44 on my truck and i looked around on google through quite a few vp44 companys that sell vp44s and i came to the conclusion to go through thoroughbred. They at first seemed very smart and eager to do buisness so i bought the pump amd airdog raptor setup pluse stealth cover a little over 1400 not to mention the 617.00$ at dodge. So dodge installed the pump and alls well we drove exactly 42 miles and a huge cloud of white smoke and truck dies come to find out pump blew again. So i contacted brandon and wade for warranty they told me ship the pump back were gonna put it on our test stand. This is the good part. Everythng gets packaged no diesel fuell in the all clean still and bubble wraped tight in the box and offf to thoroughbred diesels sister company as i would call it area diesel for testing now as tight as this pump was when it got there the company somehow was broke now mind you ive had over 60 packages shipped to me via ups in 2012 and never had a problem until this now i have a new pump being shipper back but the labor money that was supposed to get sent to dodge to pay for my second pump to go back in so now im out 475$ thiis time and its got me sick about it after the amount of money i sent to them and the bs i went through and still had a loss of power. Like the title says dont do buisness with them itll get u no where but but timr trouble and bankrupcy if u want my opinom save yourself the hassel find a pump elswhere

 

So you blew the VP44 on your 97 12 valve

 

I've ordered a lot of stuff for my truck from Thoroughbred Diesel and I've always had very good service

 

Most performance manufacturers do not cover labor costs on warranty stuff.

No its on my 98.5 24v i just love my 12 valve it gives me no problems hence cumminsboost97. And i understand but we had an agreement theyd pay for there mistake and i was good with that but they had a last minute change

They said it was physically damaged when it was received back for testing?

 

475 in labor????? Are you paying $100.00 an hour? Thats more than a dealership charges?

Its 475 to put thw pump in at elmwood dodge where i live and thoroughbred has nothing to say there cons look up rip off report.com and search thoroughbred diesel they do it to everyone there pumps are junk and they said ups ruined it and they dont do anything about it i wanna drive to kentucky in the worst way to meet these clowns
