someone correct me if i am wrong but i believe the exhaust housing is a little larger on the hx than the hy. the hx was made to boost up quicker between gear shifts

 

you are right this is why they put it on the manuals. and the larger exhaust housing helps eith the heat when lugging the engine. my number is 1-309-258-9035 call any time but i'm at work i may be able to answer if not i'll call youi back asap.
