I just bought a 97 dodge ram 3500 with a 12 valve cummins and I started hearing a tick so I broke out the stethoscope and pin pointed it to the lift pump. It's running great just would like to fix the tick is this something I can fix with a rebuild or should I replace it any advise is helpful

 

I have never seen a rebuild kit for these LPs.

 

Mine does that once a year. I run a tank of B20 and the lube fixes it right up.

 

B20, eh? I'll have to look into that. Mine ticks all the time and bugs the hell out of me.

 

Yeah. I've tried 2 stroke oil but that doesn't fix it. The B20 sure does.
