will a fuel plate lower my egt's?
Drove my new truck home and it stays at about 400 but when i came up a hill it lugged down a litlle and it got pretty hot about 1000 i know thats pretty close to meltdown. Wanderin if a fuel plate will help. It dont have one. Its the truck in my sig
At 1,000* you are fine! These engines can go 1,250* all day long. I wouldn't. but they can. Fuel creates heat, so a few plate can make you run hotter. Air can lower EGTs. I would suggest a boost elbow
how do you have your he351ve rigged up on this truck? are the turbo veins working properly and at the right times? if everything is nearly closed while lugging she will get much hotter than she should.
i can bury my 1500* pyro on command. ive seen over 2000* on trucks going pulling a sled. adding air will cool things down add in fuel will add more power.
how much boost do you see?

Im not sure how the turbo is set up i bought it as is. It opens up but like you say luggin around ive got nothin im not sure how to set it up properly and im makin a little over 30 at peak
Oh! To answer the original question, no. A fuel plate will not lower your EGT's, it will raise them. This is of course assuming that you have a fuel plate already. The stock plate is the coolest burning plate there is, any aftermarket one will add fuel and therefore add heat. If you have no plate though, then yes, a plate can cool it down. Almost any plate is cooler than no plate... emphasis on almost. You have a pretty comprehensive sig filled out, but nothing about your plate, so...
