just picked up a stage 2 water meth kit.. im upgrading the small a$$ tank for the big one to put in the bed... ive heard of people running windshield washer fluid instead of the boost juice... is that legit? I know its pricey running boost juice. what are you all running or recommend running? Thanks guys

Winter washer fluid only. The summer stuff will clog things up. It's all my buddy uses.

you can go to a bulk fuel station where they sell methanol and make your own 50-50 mix. methanol this time of year is higher price than buying in the summer because of use. make sure the windshield washer fluid is methanol not some kind of glycol.

During the winter I run straight -20 washer fluid. I just prime the system and let it set. Summertime, since I'm running the Edge, I cut mine to about 25%. The Edge advances the timing, and if you run 50/50, from what I was told, there could be detonation. So, this is what I run: 1 gal -20 washer fluid plus 2 bottles of Heat (yellow bottle with blue print), and 1 gal distilled water. I looked on sites to see how to make my own methonal mix, and they stated -20 washer and 2 bottles of Heat. This will give you the 50/50 mix. When I add the gallon of water, this cuts to to less than 25%. I figure better safe than sorry.

it also depends on what you are using it for.
i used a kit for a chemical intercooler on my old Powerstroke and just ran straight water over 90% of the time, only added windshield washer fluid for the power boost.
the more meth you run the more power you will make, too an extent, but the less cooling effect you will see.

I agree with cummins bronco. You do get a boost but just to a point where your cooling will be lost. I was told by a freind that since I was running the Egde w/attitude, 35% is the most that I would want to run. I am going with 25% to stay below my safe thresh hold. Yeah, more water. It depends where you get your methanol. I mix all of mine in a 6 gallon jug. So if I'm out on the road, and I can get straight methanol, I'll pick up a gallon, and add 3 gallons of water. I get better cooling and a good boost. It's just my opinion.
