have a 02 cummins does anyone know witch ones will interchange bolted a 99 on and the gages didnt work no tac oil press and i forgot wat else the issue im havin is the truck starts and runs some times it will rev like its suppose to and others it dont run fine till fourth about reved out and start cuttin out sometimes itll white smoke its weird it done this about a year ago and it was the ecm it has been doin great till now havent checkd fuel press yet im waiting to get my original ecm back any ideas on my problem/knowledge on ecm interchange

 

2001-2002 with a manual trans should be able to swap over. The 1998.5-2000 with a manual trans should swap over. The reason a 1999 wont work on a 2002 is they read rpm and several other things differently

I put a 2000 manual on my 01 and it would start and run but it had no gauges

 

so a 99 wont work or just the gages wont work
