Default Got stuck! no more speedo or o/d

I have a 1992 cummins and i got it stuck in a snow bank after i finally got unstuck i noticed the speedo had quit worked, i made it to the highway and now my truck wont shift into 4th gear i need help as this is my first vehicle and im not sure what im looking for

Check you vss (vehicle speed sensor) and wires on the left side of the trans

Yours will be on the transfer case on a 2wd its on the left as in your sitting in the drivers seat.
Yours will have a adapter that the vss attaches to

So my vss was disconnected how tight should it be because i geuss i tightened it too much and snapped the nut in half

I just went till snug idk the torque spec. And autozone had em for like $30 ithink

O'Reillys has then for about the same price, maybe even a little cheaper.....
