Default need a wiring schematic?

The PO of my truck has a wire coming from the alternator fuse out under the hood to a pink/striped(blue?) wire under the dash. Its the truck in sig.
I have also wondered why when the truck is on/ running I do not have to hit brake pedal to put in gear. wondering if this wire is a jumper for it.

Curious of what that wire goes to anyways, instead of just unhooking it and seeing if anything changes.

Thanks in advance.
