Default pushrod install, 03 6.0 diesel

Is there a trick or something I need to watch out for when installing the pushrods on my 03 6.0 diesel?? I hve seen some comments here that suggest there is a right way and a wrong way to do it to avoid bent pushrods?

Thank you

As with any pushrod motor, ensuring that the pushrod seats properly into the cup is paramount. The most common cause of post maintenance bent pushrods can be traced directly back to this.

once you think it is in th lifter seat just push down on it with youre finger, should be kinda spongey, it will only move up and down a tiny bit but it is enough to tell it is sitting in the cup, if it is sitting on edge of lifter/which is bad/ then it will be solid and you can tell. I push and let it spring back like 6 times to get the feel for it, just like you are tapping your finger on the table. again it will only move up and down a tiny bit but you can feel it.

Turn the motor over with a breaker bar before trying to fire it up too, watch all of the rockers move, make sure nothing is binding. I was just looking at getting some smith bros pushrods but decided against it, going to stick with stockers.
