Default 47re downshift issue

i've dealt with it for the past two years and its starting to get kind of annoying. i recently just freshned up the trans (new single disc TC, upgraded borg warner solenoids and sensors, adjusted bands, and of course fluid and filter). the thing is even after adjusting the TV cable, when im coming to a stop and im still rolling say 3-5mph and i get back into it, the trans seems to stay in 3rd and hesitates for a second before going into 2nd. almost feels like its slipping until it down shifts then im on my way. any suggestions?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

what i've come up with is if i pull the TV cable nearly all the way back the shifts are very firm and more drawn out like i wanted but, when its nearly all the way back the 1-2 shift hangs really bad (the upgraded solenoids in the trans were supposed to cure this) and the accelerator pedal gets very firm but it gets rid of my downshift problem. now if i adjust it forward the up shifts are fast, the downshift from 3-2 takes quite a bit of accelerator pedal to get it to downshift and the accelerator pedal feels normal and not stiff what so ever im kind of stumped and could really use some input.

That may or may not be related to your POT mod. I know mine tends to do that as well right after I installed my pot.

no it was doing it well before the pot mod. i've got it dialed in now and all is good. actually ended up moving the mounting location of the rear most ball joint on the throttle linkage and it turned out a lot better than i would have thought. full pedal travel without getting stiff and since then my truck will actually wrap 2500 rpm's and pull all the way through. dont really know how else to describe it so ill try to get a pic of what i did.

Kinda hard to see but the hole at the top is where the ball used to be and I moved it down to the half moon looking slot and it was a huge difference
