How cold is it where youre at? Cummins will be a little sluggish until it warms up. You might try a thinner oil in the winter. I run Rotella t6 5w40. I also plug my block heater in and have the outlet on a timer to start heating it up a couple hours before I leave for work. If its an auto its probably time to change fluid and filter.

does it feel like you have a dead pedal? if so check for codes, it might be the injection pump.

Usually the injection pump, if going out, will work good when cold then start acting up when it gets warm.

My truck was the opposite. Dead pedal when it was cold then when it got warm it ran fine. My computer was also showing me a p216 code.

When the outside temp was below about 38deg, mine would blow white smoke and run cruddy until warmed up. Turned out to be cam position sensor.

beaumid10,

I should have looked a little further in the threads before posting mine. I have the exact same problem. What all have you done to trying to fix it?
