Default nv4500 shift tower

Does the shift tower on the nv4500 require a small amount of grease or does the oil kinda splash up on it and takes care of that

I don't know of any standard transmissions that don't have splash lubrication for the shift tower. Is yours getting sticky, or just wondering?

I was just wondering. Had to pull my transmission out and I had just been going through everything on it. When i pulled the shifter boot up it looked like some very very tacky oil. Was not sure if it was just some worn out grease

just wondering if the shift tower is low on oil or isnt getting any splash oil would this cause the truck to get stuck in gear. the other day my truck got stuck in 4th gear and there was nothing i could do to get it loose, had to take the whole tower apart and use a screwdriver to get it back to neutral, has worked fine ever since though

No I wouldnt think that would be the reason why it did that. Some oil should splash up in there. I was wondering though if anybody ever does put a touch of grease in there
