looking to buy my first diesel. been looking some F-350s with the 6.0l. my friends have told me to stay away from the 6.0l becuse of it problems it has. any help would be great

Everyone who knows nothing about 6.0 says don't buy one. It's a freaking work horse but you have to take care of it and take the proper precautions to keep things from happening. These things are egr delete. Oil cooler replace and coolant filter to start. Also sct tune to kick off engine lite with egr delete. Most people don't know how to diagnose problems in these trucks and just throw parts at them. Diesel bombers can help making these things easier. Love my 6.0 and have buddy's who have replaced turbos and still love them. I would chain up to a 7.3 any day.
