Default HRVP44 worth it?

Hey, my vp is toast ant I need to replace it.So I am considering buying a hotrod vp.
I have 125`s and ADR to beat on my super B, so wondering if a HR will be way too smokey?
Planning on twins later.
The truck is my dd.

I don't think the hot rod will make any more smoke. I'm just an amature but I think its the bigger injectors coupled with not enough air that makes the smoke. Putting twins on you'll need the hot rod.

Hot rod pumps dont like havin their wires tapped. Your upper settings on your ADR will be useless. It will make a little more power but not alot more. No where near the 100hp because all a hrvp is made of is a SO pump with an HO brain. A standard SO pump will make more power in the end.

Sent with a Droid RAZR in one hand and 14,000 volts in the other.

X2, save your money and get a nice quality built SO pump. SO pumps can be taken over 600hp.

You are correct. The 6 speed trucks came with HO pumps.

Can a HO pump be used with a 5sp or auto? Or will it only work on a 6sp? If it will work would it have the same problem that cummin_un_glued mentioned with the hr
