Default anyone else, or am i just a dumbass?? towing mirrors..

well got my towing mirrors in today and went through the process of taking off both door panels and both old mirrors...

i tried to put the new towing mirror on, but it seems like it wont line up with the door. i called the people i ordered from, and they said that it should fit my year model (2001, 2500), and also the studs wont go through the mounting bracket far enough to get my nuts on...

already dark out, so will have to continue tomorrow if i decide to.. should i send the mirrors back and get different ones, or are they all the same...? i ordered them from AM Autoparts - After Market Auto Parts - Headlights, Mirrors, and More off of ebay. they have a 99.9% positive rating.. i dont want to pay return shipping and get the same damn thing shipped back... anybody else have trouble getting their studs through the brackets far enough?

Did you get power/ heated mirrors or just manual ones?

There is a specific way to run the wires if you got power ones, if you don't do it correct it can cut the wires leading to no operation, also could interfere with clearance.

Naw man you have to route them a specific way. I will try to find the diagram to help you understand how to do it.

Yea i got the bracket haha.

The problem is it seems like the mirrors werent made for my truck. The studs wont go far enough in the bracket for me to get the nuts on
