if the truck is a non 53 block, rust/rot free, in good shape inside and out needing no repairs id say its worth 8-9k. probably be a little easier to sell if it was a short bed.

ill trade you straight up and mine will be easyer to sell with my 6spd manual in it. its 2001.5 with the HO Cummmins 6spd 4x4 has an adrenaline 100 hp injectors hevy dudy cluch and a 351vgt controler. no body rust lifted 3" with a 2.5 inch level and new 37" tires

Around here (Florida Panhandle) that truck would be found for less than 12k if it's in good shape!

 

Best way to figure the value - or at least get a good starting point is to do Craigslist search. There are search engines that will let you search multiple cities/state Craigslist listings (you specify the miles distance from your zip code). If you assume a dedicated/interested buyer might travel 500 miles in search of a good truck - use 500 miles. You might need to try the search engine - listing Dodge, Ram, model, list Cummins, without to many other terms. Look for prices more than $1000 (to eliminate newer trucks listed by dealers with no price in the ad; look for prices less than $15,000 (for your truck) to again screen out higher priced trucks. The listing you get will show you what the market competition is....and then you can price accordingly.
