Default steering wheel upgrade

has anyone, or do you know anyone who has taken a steering wheel out of a 08 -present and put it in a 04 -07 superduty and kept the steering wheel controls? i hate the look of and mine is all torn up and ugly. just a thought to bring my 06 to the future a little

Since nobody else has hit this I will (hmm, sounds like things I said while on liberty in the Navy).

First, the interiors are 'squared off' in the newer trucks, so changing the wheel alone won't flow very well. However, provided the wheels have the same options (I assume you have stereo controls in your wheel), it should be a matter of reconnecting things. Years ago I swapped a non-airbag wheel into a 1992 Mustang LX.

I'm glad someone mentioned this because after driving the wife's new-to-her 2007 Mustang GT, I'm thinking that wheel would look pretty snappy in my 2003 Souper Doody.

Long answer short: while it may not be a 'direct bolt in' electrically, if you can connect wires properly, I don't see why it wouldn't work. The spline count SHOULD be the same.
