Default NV4500 vs Getrag, pump timing and any other help...

I'm new to the 12valve, but I want to make sure I get this stuff right as I am parting out my other truck. I am going to inter-cool it, add a bigger turbo, mess with the pump (gov spring, screws, star-wheel, etc), upgrade the brakes, get rid of the bench seat and a ton of other stuff.

I want your thoughts on the transmissions. I just rebuilt my NV4500 and hate to get rid of it, but space is an issue at this point. I have read the Getrag is a weak link. Should I take the time to do the swap and how hard is it?n

I keep reading to turn the pump to advance timing, but I don't want to screw anything up in doing so. Is this a good guide (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_U997AFBINk)? I don't want to bend any lines. Using a ratchet strap seems excessive.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm doing everything tomorrow. Hydro booster, axle swap, intercooler, intake, increasing the timing and fuel delivery and lubing everything. I'll take some pics if I have time. It's gotta be ready for work on Monday so I must be quick.
