Default 47re question

Yesterday my trans heated up to 220. And acted up and wouldnt shift down to 1st when i came to a stop . It kept pulling out in 2 unless i manual put it first. Now when it cooled down it was fine again. Anyone have any input or had that happen? The fluid dont smell burnt either i drained it today.

I was idling down a mountain literally no yhrottle the trans was shifting up till i slow down enough then down shifted then went around the turn n speef up again. At the bottom i sae it was at 220 it never has done that. But starting in second can that damage clutches? And i drove it all day yesterday n today never went over 160 while towing n shifted beautifully. I think it was that hill?

factory dodge lines are dual lined. over time the inner layer can start to sluff off and cause an abstruction in the line inhibiting the flow of fluid to or from the cooler. look for small leaks around the fittings of the factory lines. this is normally a indicator that pressure is building up. and this will FRY a trans!
