Diesel Secret? Some Sketchy Additive?

I just had a buddy send me this link.
http://www.dieselsecret.com/howitworks.html

anyone know anything about it? I don't know anyone using it... just checking it out for him. Seems sketchy. Sounds like bio mfg w/ something that probably doesn't work and a too good to be true bunch of bs written around it.

I win $5 if it's a bs scam! :D

Trying to tell you how to make bio-diesel, with a bunch of crap attached.

sillyneck 02-02-2008 06:58 PM

so write it off as a scam? keep in mind the future of this $5 is in your hands lol :) Hell... that's a gallon and 1/2 of real diesel if I win

You buy their additive and find some restaurant to give you their used vegetable oil, Filter the oil and add their additive to it. Their additive is supposed to keep the oil form gelling and their filter system you buy from them is supposed to get all the gunk out of the veggie oil.

There has been people who done this before i seen a car on Ripley's that ran on vegetable oil, but he had to modify his system a bit. It can be done though. and it can be very cheap if you can get the used oil

hmmmmm.... maybe I'll let him order it and sit back and watch :D

This is no different than making WVO. No secret to this and thousands of people are running down the road on WVO so I dont see what the big deal is.

I guess just fear of the unknown. I'm not versed on any of this and broken parts are spendy so I'd rather see it first hand before trying it..... since this guy relies on me to fix his junk I'd like to hear some testimonials before I have another ford clogging my shop :)

A lot of people are running WVO but its a pain in the butt IMHO. Its a pain to make the stuff and there are several mods that have to be made to the fuel system on the truck to keep it working correctly and not gel up.

If CHenry is still around he can give you the intimate details on building a system and how it works. I think he's got over 100K on a truck running straight WVO. Oh Clay?...come out come out wherever you are. :w2:
