You need to know which temputure (air) to run. Let say you are up North.I don't run veggie below 25 degrees. To run veggie you need two things.Heat and fuel pressure. You may add a extra fuel pump to push veggie to engine. You will need a way to heat veggie so it will flow like diesel(165 degrees). So like mine I have a heated hose in hose fuel line,at engine area a heat exchanger to heat fuel further before lift pump(extra 5 micron water seperator filter before heat exchanger). Then last right at injection lines, injection line heaters. Now ready to install coversions can cost a grand or more.I would check out fattywagons site for possible conversion of $500.I bought my components from different sellers. My cost was less than $400. Now this is if you want your engine to last.
If not you can blend with gasoline (15%) and run for maybe 150,000 miles.

Forgot at shut down switch back to diesel (with a smaller tank or stock tank, and veggie tank)so IP and lines start on diesel till heaters take over.

Moved to the alternative fuel section...

Two more thing to add:

In the beginning you will have to change fuel filters more often. Bio will flush your system and all dirt will be in the fuel filter.
Second: install a vacuum meter to watch the suction on fuel flow. Most pumps are ruined by to much suction and burn up. This ends with complete pump replacement.

Make sure to decrease oil change intervals. Bio is not good for oil.

I change oil every 2500 miles while burning grease. Also added FASS pump will make sure you are getting fuel.My car only needs a 9 psi eletric pump.Truck pressure is probably higher.

I suggest getting friendly at one of the veggy oil forums, and I also would only run a good 2 tank setup in that rig.

I run only synthetic oil, it seems to not react w/ the veggy as much as straight rotella.

read up on crankcase oil polymerization. yes the veg can turn lube oil into plastic.

You have an 04 powerstroke, so you're lucky. The best conversion kit in the world is available to you. The V3 vegistroke. Check out www.biofuelstechnologies.com Start reading there. It's a turn key heated secondary fuel system. Once installed, add oil and drive, the system will switch back and forth by itself. :c:

No way I would ever put veggie in my stock diesel tank. EVER.
