Fuel additives for cold
About getting toward that time of year for us in minnesota and northern america, when the temp heads down, just wondering what you guys use for additives, or just run #1.
The fue stations here blend the fuel for winter. I don't run anything.
Not quite as far north as you but I still run something to be safe. I just use ours, it's a combo of our regular additive with cold flow improver. Then just run plain in the summer.
Being your in MN and all of there fuel contains 5% Bio I would make sure you add anti gel just to be safe. What every you do use make sure its compatible with Bio Diesel...

I am in ND and I run straight #2 with howes. But then I don't have the bio diesel blend to mess with.
I was running just #2 last year with power service, just wondering if there was something better with out costing much more.
if you feel the need to add anything just make sure you add it in proper dosages, don't over do it, it's gets really cold where i'm at and I don't usually run anything
I don't add anything to the diesel:tu:
