Hello everybody,
I am from Montreal but I am coming from Romania.I have a friend here who has 3 diesel cars,1 Mercedes and 2 WV.And in all off them hi is using a mixture of gas-diesel-w m o.
And the cars are running very well, and they start easy at -18C degree(December).
I am adding that hi has a truck service here, and hi knows very well the diesel engines. In Romania hi was working in army, like diesel technicians. And he doesn't use the centrifugal technical, just filtering.
I have a little more information's but in a next topic.
Have a nice day to everybody.:c:

Whatwith Eastern Stations having/using GREEN nozzels for "REGULAR" gas one has to look before you pump. Out West the Green Nozzles are generally diesel. I made the mistake but immediately took it to a nearby garage where they drained the tank, replaced the fuel filter, and disposed of the fuel. Yep, it cost me $300 and I'll never do it again. Oh, I asked the mechanic "How Many people do this per week, and he said about 4"...so the Green Nozzle trick will most likely not be (due to its being a money-maker) ruled as unsafe for the time being.

30 years ago we used to put 2-4 gal of reg gas in diesel 150 gal tank in winter time to keep it from gelling didnt hurt anything fuel was not as good back then

like said above the wmo guys use gas to thin down the oil

when you own a diesel their comes some responsibility to watch what you are using I have the large opening so I can use the big nozzle and I always fuel where the big truck fill up at you get to listen to some good stories from time to time

just stick finger in nozzle if its oily you are good

The shop I work in occasionally has a vehicle come in with gas in the diesel tank. Worst was a VW Bug. Anybody know where the drain is on a VW fuel tank? Usually we disconnect a fuel line and bypass the fuel pump relay to pump the fuel out, but nonstandard fittings prevented that. Ended up snaking several small plastic hoses down the filler neck and siphoning the gas out. Took all day, 'cause the anti-siphon design prevented feeding down a larger hose. Cut the guy a break on the labor, I'm a nice guy.

Did the opposite one time, back when my truck was gas I put a couple of gallons of diesel in it. Granddad had diesel in the gas jugs and I didnt know it :argh:

Just filled it up some more with gas and went on :tu:

I just installed a side mount 70 Gallon tank into the bed of my F-250, now i can fill up in 1 hell of a hurry..... now just need to plumb it into my existing fuel system(front tank gone).
70 gallons + my factory 19 gallon rear tank .... 89 gallons X 18 Mpg's =1,602 miles between fill ups...( best case scenario )......:jump: :tu: :rocking:
