The Cost Of 2 Cycle Oil

Will all of you Guys please stop buying 2 cycle oil, your driving up the cost. Half the time when I go to Wally World, I can't find any. Then the price of Super Tech 2 cycle oil goes up from $8.39 to $8.89 per gallon, then today I go in there and they have 8 different brands ranging from $8.89 to $28.99. This is getting out of control.

lol
I really don't think it matters. I bought a quart of 15w 40 the other day at a gas station and it was $5.09. I'm with ya though, it's getting ridiculous:argh:

And you don't think the price of oil has anything to do with it? I guess I need to go stock up I just bought a Lawnboy.

yeah all oil products are going up and at this rate nothing will stop unless we get some sort of oil price fixing and then things can settle down and I will not quit buying it for my truck it helps idle quieter and picked up a lil mileage

I don't use any 2 cycle oil so that should help keep the cost lower.

I dont run it for milage - I run it because Injector pumps are $$$.

Not sure Id run it in one of the newer third gens though.

dukeboy_318 05-27-2008 07:46 PM

i ran it only once, it seemed to help alot, what percentage do you guys use, your know oz/gal ratio?

CumminsCrazed 05-27-2008 08:00 PM

32 oz. per tank fill (35 gal) makes about a 91:1 ratio of fuel to oil.

2500HeavyDuty 05-27-2008 11:20 PM

i usually run one oz. of 2 stroke for each gallon
