Limited slip additive...
 

Ok, so I have seen that if you use Mopar approved fluid (a mopar part number) you don't need any limited slip additives with it. I would assume when using other fluids (I will be refilling mine with amsoil) that a limited slip would need the additive put in. If anyone can point me in the right direction before I make a purchase.. (I have at least a week before I purchase). No sense in telling me to use something other than amsoil gear oil.. I will be a dealer here shortly, and have always been a believer in their products :) I just gotta know if I should spend the extra $$ on the additive or not.

The additive is not required with most synthetics, although some put it in anyway. I did:) As far as the gear oil, are you going with 75W-90 or the new 110? The new 110 is a new grade that falls within the old 90 range, so you're still meeting the required specs of your vehicle, but on the high side, if makes sense.

Hadn't decided that yet Heath... Was thinking about going with the 110, but I wasn't 100% on it yet.

The Severe Gear already had the additive build in. AMSOIL sells their Slip Lock additive separately, but I've never sold a single bottle since it is already pre-mixed. I'd go with the 75W110.

I was giving some serious thought to running the severe gear 110.. The radiator just puked in my daily driver toyota, so it looks like it will be a couple weeks before I can afford to do this anyhow. Thanks for the advise though.
