Did an Airdog II kill my vp?

So I put an Airdog II system on my truck, and it ran great for about a week. The next week I drove into town and was pulling away from a stop light and when I was goin about 20 mph, my truck backfired, a whole bunch of smoke shot out my exhaust, and I shifted into neutral and it died, and wouldn't start again. There weren't any fuel leaks at all. Towed it home and cracked an injector line and bumped the Airdog, but didn't have any fuel, so we next cracked the supply line to the vp and still didn't get any fuel. The Airdog wasn't pulling fuel from the tank at all and hardly had any fuel in the filters.
It took a good hour to get the Airdog pump to prime again and even get fuel up to the vp, but there still wasn't any fuel getting to the injectors. I did the key cycling thing to see if any codes came up on my dash but there wasn't anything. Changed the fuel solenoid and still no luck.
I bought the Airdog pump from Diesel Storm online and the guys we called said it sounds like we got a bad pump and that it lost prime in the middle of driving. They gave me the cell # to a guy who works for Airdog, but he hasn't answered or returned any calls.
So is it possible that a lift pump can kill a vp from losing prime in the middle of driving? And if my vp is shot, why arent any codes coming up? I've gone over the manual and troubleshooting guide for the Airdog a hundred times and can't find anywhere we might've messed up. Anybody have any input?

May have obstruction in the lines? Hook a pressure gauge to the pump itself and see what kinda pressure its putting out, may be the pump. If not, give AD a call and tell them your dilema, theyll be more than happy to assist.

Well I don't have any codes but there's no fuel moving through my vp. I've called Airdog several times n can't get ahold of anyone. But I'll keep trying once Monday comes around.
